Depart 8.30am Today we head north visiting the Split Rock Aboriginal Rock Art site - Laura and depending on the road conditions we will be in camp early in the afternoon. Campfires allowed (bring own firewood)

Today is another short day but today we start our drive up the Old Telegraph Track. Today we will see the infamous Gunshot where many an over enthusiastic 4wder has ended their trip. Tonight is our first bush camp!!!

Cockatoo Creek ~ Loyalty Beach 140km
Today we continue up the Old Telegraph Track checking out Fruit Bat Falls, Twin Falls and Elliot Falls before crossing the Jardine River on the ferry and continuing on to Loyalty Beach our base camp for exploring the Tip.

Loyalty Beach
We have two days to explore the Tip. Some of the options here are a day trip to Thursday Is, Fishing, Helicopter Rides, visit Historic War Sites, do some beach driving just to the south of Loyalty Beach or just take some time to relax and enjoy the surrounds.

Today we head south along the Bamaga Road with the last 27km of the drive being along a picturesque, windy single lane track to another bush camp right at the beach.

Today we head back to Musgrave Roadhouse on the way back south.

Today we leave Lakefield NP and head to Cooktown for a few lay days.

There are plenty of options to fill in the days, checkout Cooktown, it’s history and historic buildings, James Cook Museum, short drives to waterfalls in the area, we will be taking a drive to the Lion’s Den Hotel for a meal, a trip up the Cape wouldn’t be complete without a visit. Black Mountains National Park, fishing for those that still feel then need, croc spotting, or just take the time to relax around the camp.

Today should be a great day of 4wding along the Bloomfield Track to Cape Tribulation.

There is plenty to occupy your time here at Cape Trib - Jungle Surfing for those looking for that bit of adventure, a few boardwalks through the Daintree with easy access from the Camp for the wheelies, Wilderness Cruises/Mangrove Cruises. Our awards night will take place this evening!
